YMT Australia

Samuel Clear has made a career with Youth Mission Team Australia (YMT), as both a Team Member and Manager.  Fresh from his post as the legendary YMT Melbourne Manager, Sam decided to take a year and a half out, to pursue the Walk4One dream that God had instilled in his heart.  YMT proudly supports Sam in this amazing mission!

YMT is a national, Catholic, peer to peer, youth ministry that was the very first of its kind to commence in Australia.  YMT is recognised as an Australian non profit, charitable organization and was created to bring hope to young Australians through faith and character development, and to serve the Church in the area of evangelization.

YMT is widely recognised as one of the most experienced, successful Catholic youth evangelization organizations ever produced in Australia.  Over the last 22 years, YMT has ministered to more than 150,000 young people, and has selected, trained and commissioned more than 245 individuals that have comprised over 50 individual Teams.

A large majority of these people have gone on to serve in critical roles within the Church in Australia and many are now playing key leadership roles in youth ministry, vocations, education and World Youth Day 2008.  Beginning with its first Team in Sydney in 1986, YMT has now grown to four throughout the nation situated in Wollongong, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney with plans to open a fifth in Wollongong in mid 2007.  For further information visit www.ymt.com.au
