AIMS
 
   

Youth Mission Team aims to facilitate the faith and character development of Australian teenagers.

 
OBJECTIVES
 
 

1. FAITH DEVELOPMENT

To inspire and support Australian teenagers in the development of a heartfelt and passionate faith in God that is relevant to their daily lives and becomes a secure foundation for life.

Faith that is built on:

  • Intimate, friendship with Jesus
  • Bringing God into everyday, real life situations
  • Committed personal prayer life
  • Knowledge of the Word of God
  • Spiritual mentoring & role models
  • Active participation in Church

Faith that leads to:

  • Fulfilling our God given life purpose
  • Active participation & the strengthening of the Church
  • Eternity in heaven for us and those we inspire



 

2. CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT

To inspire and support Australian teenagers in the development of the following character traits, life skills & outcomes:

To provide programs that assist in the prevention of:

  • Bullying
  • Drug addiction
  • Alcohol abuse
  • Depression
  • Suicide
  • Self harm
  • Eating disorders, such as anorexia
  • Pre-marital sex
  • Crime
  • Relationship breakdown especially in family & parent/child relationships
  • Marriage breakdown later in life
  • Sexually transmitted infections
  • Sexual abuse
